SUMMARY:Monthly Quick Chess Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Our signature monthly quick chess event featuring 24-minute games with 5-second delay. USCF rated tournament using Swiss pairing system. Competitive yet accessible format suitable for players of all ratings looking for serious tournament practice. Climb the leaderboard to become the year's quick chess champion. \nThe entry fee is $10 for members and $15 for non-members\, and 80% will be awarded as prizes. USCF membership is required\, but notation does not have to be kept.  Registration is onsite only and starts at 6:30 P.M.; games start at 7 PM. \nCincinnati Chess Club (CCC) Quick Chess Tournament Series Points System Info:What:CCC will have a “Quick Chess Points” (QCP) system that rewards points forqualifying performance criteria in the Monthly Quick Chess tournament series for theyear 2026. After the last tournaments of the series\, QCP points accumulated by playerswill be compared; at which point the point leader(s) will be awarded prizes according tothe following rules.Rules:1. 6 points will be awarded to all players earning 1 st place in any CCC MonthlyQuick Chess tournament\, 4 points to player(s) taking 2nd place\, and 2 points toplayer(s) taking 3rd place.2. Prizes will be distributed to the point leaders at the end of the CCC MonthlyQuick Chess Tournament on December 17 th \, 2026.Prize Amounts:CCC Will award:$150 to the QCP points leader$90 for the first runner-up$60 for the second runner-upLimitations:The prizes awarded for QCP points at the end of the 2026 Monthly Quick Chess2026 tournament series will not exceed the $300 prize pool presented in the“Prize Amounts” Section.Ties in point amounts will be resolved by summing all prizes affected by the tieand paying it out evenly amongst the players involved in the tie.

DESCRIPTION:The first round of the 2026  Cincinnati Chess Club Championship.\n\n\n\nThe first round of the 2026 Cincinnati Chess Club Championship. Game starts at 7 PM. \n\n\n\n The  entry fee is $50 for entrants.  USCF and club memberships are required to play in this tournament. Online registration only. No onsite registration.  \n\n\n\nPlayers who register after May 20th 7 PM - will still pay $50  fee but will have a half point point bye in Round 1. \n\n\n\nOnline Registration will close on May 27th 7 PM. There is no onsite registration. \n\n\n\nAll future round bye requests must be made to the TD  prior to  May 28th 6:30 PM. \n\n\n\nIf you are scheduled to play in a round and don’t show up and don’t pre notify the Tournament Director by 5:00 PM on the day of the tournament you will not only forfeit that round but be withdrawn from the tournament.
