Our signature monthly quick chess event featuring 24-minute games with 5-second delay. USCF rated tournament using Swiss pairing system. Competitive yet accessible format suitable for players of all ratings looking for serious tournament practice. Climb the leaderboard to become the year's quick chess champion.
The entry fee is $10 for members and $15 for non-members, and 80% will be awarded as prizes. USCF membership is required, but notation does not have to be kept. Registration is onsite only and starts at 6:30 P.M.; games start at 7 PM.
Cincinnati Chess Club (CCC) Quick Chess Tournament Series Points System Info:
What:
CCC will have a “Quick Chess Points” (QCP) system that rewards points for
qualifying performance criteria in the Monthly Quick Chess tournament series for the
year 2026. After the last tournaments of the series, QCP points accumulated by players
will be compared; at which point the point leader(s) will be awarded prizes according to
the following rules.
Rules:
1. 6 points will be awarded to all players earning 1 st place in any CCC Monthly
Quick Chess tournament, 4 points to player(s) taking 2nd place, and 2 points to
player(s) taking 3rd place.
2. Prizes will be distributed to the point leaders at the end of the CCC Monthly
Quick Chess Tournament on December 17 th , 2026.
Prize Amounts:
CCC Will award:
$150 to the QCP points leader
$90 for the first runner-up
$60 for the second runner-up
Limitations:
The prizes awarded for QCP points at the end of the 2026 Monthly Quick Chess
2026 tournament series will not exceed the $300 prize pool presented in the
“Prize Amounts” Section.
Ties in point amounts will be resolved by summing all prizes affected by the tie
and paying it out evenly amongst the players involved in the tie.
