The City Championship is back!

2021 City Championship – Cincinnati Chess Club
Longest continuously running tournament in Cincinnati
6 round swiss: FRIDAY, October 8, 15, 22, 29, Nov 5 & 19
All rounds will be at site #2 in the Police Station Basement, 7777 Blue Ash Road.

Entry fee: $40. Membership is not required.
USCF Rated; must be a member prior to 1st game and continuously throughout the tournament.

You can also register onsite Oct. 8th 6:00 – 6:50 p.m.
Please register early if you can. It really helps get the 1st round started on time:

Two sections:
Open section for anyone who would like to enter.
Under 1600 section for those rated under 1600 and unrated.
Game in 120 minutes, 5-second delay (G120/d5).
Games (and clocks) start at 7:00 p.m. each week.

• Prizes: 80% of entry fees collected will be returned as prizes. Open:
1st, 2nd. Under 1600: 1st and 2nd. U2000 prize, U1000 prize.
Players can enter before round 3 begins (using half point byes for the first two rounds).
• All players can request up to two half point byes before round 3 begins.
• If you cannot make a round, please notify the TD ASAP (text or call Carl Lingen (513-417-3224); email mathteacher4life@hotmail.com.
• Players who forfeit rounds will be withdrawn from the tournament; talk to TD for re-entry in extenuating circumstances. Do not miss a
round without talking with TD.
• Ties for first place will be broken by a playoff (G30/d5, then G5) on Fri. Dec. 3rd.
